CASSELBERRY
--
Casselberry -- A consultant for Casselberry's downtown-redevelopment
agency is backing off claims that Seminole County underfunded the agency
by more than $173,000.
An audit by Real Estate Research Consultants concluded that the county
failed to fully fund the city's redevelopment agency in 1999 and 2000
and not at all in 1997 and 1998. But an e-mail from the company's
president sent to county auditors Tuesday said no money is due.
An audit by the Seminole County Clerk of the Court last year found the
city and county had shorted the city's redevelopment agency. Those
shortfalls have been paid.
